Discover all that Germany has to offer: its architectural and cultural splendors - from Gothic, Romanesque, Baroque, to renaissance and rococo-, experience German life and traditions and take in the history and vibrant atmosphere of Berlin, one of the most fascinating and exciting cities in Europe.

Day 1 - Arrival in Munich

- Arrival at Munich Airport. Transfer to your hotel and check in.
- Activities today will depend on arrival time. We can venture out into the fascinating city of Munich.
- Dinner in a restaurant in town.

Day 2 - Excursion to Dachau or Neuschwanstein / Linderhof castles

- We will travel to Dachau, the prototype for other concentration camps under the Nazi regime. It is to modern Germany’s credit that the site has been preserved in order for future generations to understand the cruelty of the times.

- Hidden in the seclusion of the Bavarian mountains, King Ludwig II built two of his dream castles, Neuschwanstein and Linderhof. This trip will show you both of these extraordinary castles, the legacy of Bavaria’s fairytale King.
- Dinner in a restaurant in town.

Day 3 - Olympic park & BMW museum

- We will go to the Olympic Park and the 290m Olympic Tower.
- Head off to the BMW Museum, where we can not only see the cars, but motorcycles, planes, concept cars, simulators and interactive displays.
- Dinner before our night train to Berlin.

Day 4 - Transfer to Berlin

- Arrival at Berlin Bahnhof. Transfer to your hotel and check in.
- Visit the centre of former West Berlin: the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the Kurfurstendamm - the main shopping street, and the Story of Berlin Museum.
- Dinner in local restaurant.

Day 5 - History

- Visit the Brandenburg Gate. From here, walk to the Holocaust Memorial.
- Make your way to the site of Hitler’s Bunker.
- Visit the Goerings Air Ministry and the Topography of Terror, the old Gestapo’s headquarters.
- Move to the famous Checkpoint Charlie and the Haus Am Checkpoint Charlie Museum to look at the history of the Berlin Wall.
- Dinner in local restaurant. After dinner there is an opportunity to visit the Reichstag.

Day 6 - Charlottenburg / Alexanderplatz

- Head to the Charlottenburg Palace, the largest palace in Berlin, with its amazing Baroque garden. This is an echo of Germany’s regal past. - Then, enjoy a boat cruise on the Spree River.
- Go to the Alexanderplatz Square, the centre of East-Berlin, which was used as a showcase of socialist architecture resulting in some plain bulky buildings and a huge television tower.
- There will be the chance to shop before dinner.
- After dinner we will go ten-pin bowling before retiring for the night.

Day 7 - Departure

Visit a Berlin Market such as the Hallentrodelmarkt Treptow, an indoor market where the students can wander and buy some bargains.
- Transfer to the airport.
