Madrid is a vast, predominantly modern capital which has plenty to offer: art museums, an excellent range of gardens and parks, colored medieval buildings, atmospheric squares and narrow streets lined with tapas bars and shops. With no doubt, Madrid remains the most vibrant city in the country.

Day 1 - Arrival

- Arrival at Madrid Airport, transfer to the hotel and check in.
- Visit Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, home of FC Real Madrid.
- Activities today will depend on arrival time.

Day 2 - Rastro & Prado museum

- A visit to the Rastro flea market is a must for any visitor’s first Sunday in Madrid and a usual strolling ground for Madrileños on public holiday mornings.
- Visit the Prado, Spain’s best Art Museum with a fantastic collection of Old Masters and the best selection of Spanish greats like Goya, Velasquez and El Greco.
- To finish off the day, take a treasure hunt in the fantastic Retiro Park.

Day 3 - Excursion to Toledo

- Transfer by private bus to Toledo and visit the ancient capital of Spain starting by the Gothic Cathedral.
- Visit the Santo Tomé Church, and the San Miguel district where the Templar knights used to live.
- Have some free time for souvenir shopping in the pedestrian area of the old town.
- Tapas dinner in Madrid.

Day 4 - Templo de Debod & Amusement park

- Visit the Templo de Debod, an Egyptian temple built in the 4th century BC and dedicated to the god Amun and the goddess Isis. This temple was donated to Spain in 1968.
- Spend some hours at Casa de Campo’s amusement park, with many attractions, roller coasters and restaurants.

Day 5 - Flamenco & Reina Sofia Museum

- Learn the passionate Flamenco dance during a two-hour lesson.
- Have lunch in the Atocha Railway’s station and relax in its beautiful covered garden.
- Visit the Reina Sofia Museum, the National Modern Art Museum and discover the impressive ‘Guernica’ masterpiece, a painting everyone should see and know about.

Day 6 - Excursion to el Escorial

- Transfer to El Escorial and visit the Royal Seat of San Lorenzo del Escorial. It is one of the Spanish royal sites and it was declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1984. It is an extremely popular tourist attraction with more than 500,000 visitors every year.
- Visit the Valle de los Caídos - Valley of the Fallen -, a basilica and a monumental memorial conceived by Spanish general Francisco Franco to honor and bury those who fell during the Spanish Civil War.

Day 7 - Madrid: Austrian & Royal history

- Visit Plaza Mayor, Madrid’s oldest square and stop by ‘La Chocolateria San Gines’ for some Chocolate and Churros or visit San Miguel’s food market.
- Visit the Palacio Real, the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family, the largest palace in Europe with 3,418 rooms.
- If time, visit the nearby Almudena Cathedral.
- Enjoy some shopping time around La Puerta del Sol.
- Dinner in town before we enjoy a Flamenco show.

Day 8 - Departure

- Check out and transfer to the airport.
